Image Types (Album Art vs Logos vs Backgrounds)

Tuneform gives you the option to upload and store different types of images for use in your videos. Each one serves a slightly different purpose and these options help ensure you get the best video results possible. We always use the source image you uploaded to create videos, so upload in the best quality you have access to.

Here's some things to keep in mind when using the different image types.

Album Art / Cover Art
Album Art Images are square jpgs or pngs, intended for use within album art templates. If you use an image without square dimensions, the image will automatically be cropped so the pixel width and height are the same.

Suggest minimum dimensions:

  • 1000px x 1000px square dimensions

Logos
Logo Images can be either a png (recommended) or jpg. We support pngs with transparency. If you upload or use a logo image that isn't square in dimension, we will proportionally resize the image to make sure it's completely in the bounds of the template you choose.
For best results, we recommend you upload your logo images with square dimensions from the start

Suggested minimum dimension:

  • 1000px x 1000px square dimensions

Backgrounds
Background Images can be jpg or pngs. We recommend you upload backgrounds with a 16:9 dimension ratio (i.e. 1920 pixels wide and 1080 pixels tall).

Recommended Minimum Dimensions:

  • 16:9 aspect ratio
  • 1920 pixels x 1080 pixels

If you choose a background image that isn't 16:9, Tuneform will automatically crop the image to fit your video. To ensure there aren't any blank spaces, the image will be cropped from the center, depending on dimensions of your source image.
